Our Statement of Faith
The Bible: The Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is God's revelation of Himself to man. The Bible is for all peoples for all time. The Bible is the supreme authority and foundation for all matters of conduct and of faith.
God: There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, He is Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is perfect in every way. All of His attributes (holiness, righteousness, love, justice, knowledge, wisdom, power, etc.) are in perfect balance and can never be out of balance. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
God The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet one, is clearly declared in scripture.
The single clearest declaration of the existence of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit - i.e, to use the traditional theological term, as a Trinity - is found in (I John 5), (Colossians 2:2), (I Corinthians 12:3-6), (John 3:34-35), (Acts 10:38), (John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26; 16:7), (John 16:14-15), (Acts 2:33).
God the Father: God the Father reins supremely with providential care over His entire creation. He is Father in truth over all who love Him.
Jesus Christ:Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. Jesus was fully man and fully God. He emptied Himself of His Deity while on Earth to demonstrate what man in right standing with God can and should do. He is the only mediator between God and man; the only means of salvation. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
God the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. All scripture was inspired through the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that convicts man of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit has spoken to people, and continues to speak, directly and personally. The Spirit also, as a distinct person, has a mind and experiences emotions.
Salvation:Salvation is the redemption of the whole man and comes only through Jesus Christ. Salvation is the greatest of all the miracles written of in the Bible. Salvation comes only by the grace of God and by faith in Him. That faith is not of ourselves. It is a gift from God so that no one can boast (Eph. 2:8-9).
